Mr. Mack was raised in Kentucky, where he played basketball in high school and was the class valedictorian. he studied accounting in college and in 1959 earned a masters degree from the University of Texas in austin, where he was a frequent patron of Scholz's Biergarten.

Since his retirement from mutual of omaha, Mr. Mack has relentlessly pursued the recipe for the superlative on-the-rocks margarita. After many years, the Mackarita was finallyperfected.

Mr. Mack lives in Dallas with his wife Anna Margaret.

he has two darling son-in-laws, Bob and kirk.
